About Me
Books are transformative. They inspire. They heal. They develop empathy. They have the potential to change the world. As a middle grade ELA teacher, I witnessed the transformative potential. With students, books became critical lenses with which to explore and examine the world. The way those perspectives shaped students fuels the passion that drives everything I do.
I develop curriculum that provides teachers with the resources they need to engage students in deep analysis of their world. It’s more than about being meaningful. It’s about providing students the tools they need to view the world from a new perspective and grow from that place. Teaching is one of the hardest jobs. I want educators to have all the materials they need to have more of their most precious resource: time. Time is valuable and non-renewable. LIT Lessons resources give teachers back their time.
As an English major at the University of Pennsylvania, I cultivated and nurtured my deep passion for literature. From there, I taught middle school ELA for nearly a decade, creating materials and using novels as lenses with which to study the world. Now, I develop curriculum full-time, providing countless teachers and students with materials that foster deep appreciation, analysis, and real-world application of the stories they study.
